CAMA Design Coordinator, Ellen Kebabian, was recently inducted as Communications Director for the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) CT Chapter Board of Directors. We are proud to have Ellen continue CAMA's long history of leadership within ASID.
Ellen graduated from High Point University in 2015 with a BS in Interior Design. Following graduation, she joined CAMA where she was encouraged to volunteer in non-profit and professional activities. Ellen, like other in the firm before her, joined ASID - interior design's oldest and largest professional organization. She quickly became an active participant, realizing many benefits including peer relationships and leadership training. No surprise to us, Ellen was soon noticed for her enthusiasm and dedication to the organization.
Ellen spoke about her goals for her new position with ASID:
"As the new ASID CT Chapter Communications Director, I look to enhance communications for the strong membership community. The strategic plan of the Chapter aims to guide and encourage designers to adapt to the changes in our professional services and industry offerings while also recognizing our strong Chapter's traditions. I plan to work with our committees to create events that cater to the diverse design sector's professionals, pre-professionals, educators, students and industry partners, so the unexpected will occur as we collaborate with one another to create beautiful and beneficial spaces for people."
